How are we different?
At SpectroTech we focus on understanding the client requirements. Too many resellers, integrators and service organisations focus on their own capabilities trying to retrofit their strengths, products or solutions to their client's requirements. This often results in problematic solutions or project failure. Our approach is the complete opposite. We take the time to understand our client's environment, challenges, objectives, plans and associated constraints and ensure that we position all this knowledge in the clients business to produce the right outcome without influence from product margin or vendors.

Consulting and professional services are fundamentally different things, even though many people and companies interchange them. At SpectroTech, being independent is not enough. The importance of understanding our services and how we differentiate comes down to our understanding of the fundamental difference between consulting and professional services.
Typically speaking, Professional Services is what hardware and software companies or resellers provide to implement and support their solutions. When you purchase their products, many companies also pay for professional services to assist with the deployment and implementation of their products.
Consulting on the other hand is much broader. It gets tricky when you mix both Professional Services and Consulting within the same company. In such cases, you often see 'consulting' offered from companies trying to retrofit their strengths to their client's requirements, based on capabilities of their professional services team or on limited products and solutions available from their sales team, rather than focussing on the clients needs.
At SpectroTech, our independence provides the assurance that our consulting services are not influenced by the vendor-reseller relationships that are often found within the market. Our customers come first and our service and support model is designed to support their needs before the needs of manufacturers. This also allows SpectroTech to successfully mix consulting and professional services by offering services to design, implement and support solutions irrespective of vendors selection. These services can be to end-user organisations through our Direct Engagement Service model as well as to end-user preferred suppliers through our Independent Consulting Services (ICS).
