SpectroTech are a truly unique consulting organisation in that we are the only organisation within Australia that provide training, specialist consulting and professional services in the field of wireless networking without selling or distributing any hardware or software products.
How are we different?
At SpectroTech we focus on understanding the client requirements. Too many consulting and professional service organisations focus on their own capabilities trying to retrofit their strengths, products or solutions to their client's requirements. This often results in problematic solutions or project failure. Our approach is the complete opposite. We take the time to understand our client's environment, challenges, objectives, plans and associated constraints and ensure that we position all this knowledge in the clients business to produce the right outcome without influence from product margin or vendors.

Our vendor agnostic approach ensures that our services are designed to provide the best possible solution irrespective of network design, product selection or implementation and without influence from product revenue or manufacturers. Of critical importance is the focus on integration with your existing business, ensuring that cookie cutter solutions don't limit scaleability, future planning or direction of your business as we often see with products and solutions delivered by product resellers.

Consulting vs. Professional Services

Consulting and professional services are fundamentally different things, even though many people and companies interchange them. At SpectroTech, being truly independent and not offering products is not enough. The importance of understanding our services and how we differentiate comes down to our understanding of the fundamental difference between consulting and professional services.
Typically speaking, Professional Services is what hardware and software companies or resellers provide to implement and support their solutions. When you purchase their products, many companies also pay for professional services to assist with the deployment and implementation of their products.
Consulting on the other hand is much broader. It gets tricky when you mix both Professional Services and Consulting within the same company. In such cases, you often see 'consulting' offered from companies trying to retrofit their strengths to their client's requirements, based on capabilities of their professional services team or on limited products and solutions available from their sales team, rather than focussing on the clients needs.
With SpectroTech, our unique independence provides the gaurantee that our consulting services are not influenced by any products, product margins or vendors. This also allows SpectroTech to successfully mix consulting and professional services by offering services to design, implement and support solutions sold by third-party companies as well as services provided to systems integrators and solutions providers through our Independent Consulting Services (ICS).
