| AirDefense Certified Engineer |
|
The AirDefense Certified Engineer training program is for AirDefense customers and business partners. The intent of this program is to turn engineers from AirDefense customers into “field experts” on Wireless LAN security & operational support.
Engineers who meet prerequisite requirements, attend Certification training, pass its practical and written exam components and fulfill the field experience requirement will be awarded the “AirDefense Certified Engineer” certificate by AirDefense.
Prerequisites
Have an intermediate to expert-level knowledge of network and security components of wireless LANs or RF. The Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) certification or completion of the Wireless LAN Administration class is strongly recommended.

| AirDefense Wireless Vulnerability Assessment Training |
|
The AirDefense™ Wireless Vulnerability Assessment (WVA) Training program is open to any wireless professional. The objective of the Wireless Vulnerability Assessment Training is to teach proper wireless penetration testing methods which can be used to find the weak areas of wireless configurations and identify the methods and tools used to remediate the problems.
People who should attend this training include Wireless network administrators, Network Security specialist, and those who implement or plan to implement wireless networks or devices. The 2-day course will include ample hands-on labs to practice the methods taught in the lecture.
What You Will Learn
Upon completion of this course, students will have an increased awareness of wireless security vulnerabilities and the methods used to test for them, as well as a better understanding of the functionality of 802.11-based networking.
-
802.11 Communication Basics “The Unbounded Network”
-
Introduction to 802.11 Networking Hardware
-
Basic Wireless Security Weakness
-
Wireless Vulnerability Assessment - Learn how to identify potential WLAN security holes
-
Penetration Testing a Network or Device with real-life hacking techniques used by intruders
-

| AirDefense Architect Product Training |
|
The AirDefense Architect product is a complete design and simulation tool for wireless LAN planning based on building-specific environments. This 2-day class helps to accurately and predicatively design Wi-Fi networks (802.11) before the actual deployment of access points, sensors and other wireless devices. The intent of this training program is to teach the capabilities of AirDefense Architect, and allow students to design, simulate and survey complex wireless LANs through lectures and hands-on labs.
What You Will Learn
Upon completion of this course, students will have an increased understanding of the Architect product and its capabilities. Students will also learn to navigate the Architect application and its advanced features
-
Model floors and complete buildings with specific RF properties
-
Plan and design a wireless LAN and place monitoring sensors
-
Run network predictions against your design and generate reports
-
Optimize predictions using field surveys and RF measurements
